The Club was saddened to learn of the passing of our former player Derek Lampe this week.
Making his debut as a 19-year-old in the same season as George Cohen, Derek would also play alongside other Fulham luminaries such as Johnny Haynes, Eddie Lowe, Jimmy Hill, Tosh Chamberlain, Alan Mullery, Graham Leggat and Rodney Marsh.
An imposing centre-half, Derek made 96 appearances for the Whites before his career was cut short by injury at the age of just 27.
He still enjoyed success during his time at Craven Cottage, though, winning promotion to the top-flight in 1959, as well as reaching two FA Cup Semi-Finals.
The thoughts of all at Fulham are with Derek’s family and friends at this time.
