Fulham Under-18s are back on the road this Saturday, with Southampton next up (11am ko).
Form
Southampton:
The young Saints also suffered defeat before the gap in fixtures, losing 3-2 against high-flyers Crystal Palace. They have shown quality in glimpses, though, picking up an impressive 3-0 win against Chelsea the week before.
Fulham:
Ali Melloul's side were narrowly beaten 2-1 at Leicester City before the international break, but will see this weekend as another opportunity to pick up points.
Last Time Out
Five goals were scored the last time these two sides faced each other, but unfortunately we found ourselves on the wrong side of the scoreline. A dissapointing first half saw us go into the break 3-0 down, but second half goals from Ollie Gofford and Olly Sanderson ensured it was competitive up until the end.
Player Insight
Defender Caelan Avenall believes his side showed promise in their recent Leicester loss.
"There were many positives to take from that game. Result aside, the team played some very good football at times, but it just wasn’t our day in terms of picking up the points.
"Every game represents an opportunity to pick up our first win and this is definitely the case against Southampton, as they have struggled at the start of the season just like us."

The 17-year-old is relieved to be back playing regularly after having to endure some long periods on the sideline last season.
"Yeah, it’s a great feeling to be playing 90 minutes after such a long injury. To be honest, that's something you dream of when you're away from it all for months.
"I'm building and improving game by game, and consistently playing full matches will help me to get back to my level. It's a level I know I can get to so I'm focused on improving each time I'm involved."
