Bio
In August 2015 the Club confirmed the signing of Tim Ream from Bolton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.
After playing for Chicago Fire Premier during his college years, Ream joined New York Red Bulls in 2010 and was ever-present in his debut season as they secured the Eastern Conference title. He was subsequently shortlisted for the MLS Rookie of the Year award, but lost out to Andy Najar.
In January 2012, Ream moved to Bolton to replace Gary Cahill who had just joined Chelsea, and went on to make 13 Barclays Premier League appearances in the second half of the campaign. He left Wanderers having featured 126 times for the club, and his last two years saw him voted Player of the Season by their supporters.
After winning over Slaviša Jokanović, Ream became a crucial part of the way Fulham played out from the back as we won promotion from the Championship. That, and his brilliant reading of the game, saw Fulham’s fans comprehensively vote him as their Player of the Season for 2017/18.
Ream is part of a rare group of Fulham players to have won promotion to the Premier League on three separate occasions, following up his 2018 achievement with another Play-Off Final win two years later, before excelling under Marco Silva in our title-winning 2021/22 campaign.
The popular centre-back was so consistent that year that only the prolific Aleksandar Mitrović finished above him in the Player of the Season voting, while he was named in the PFA Team of the Year.
Ream made his first appearance for the United States in a 1-0 win over South Africa in November 2010, and is now just a few shy of 50 international caps.
