Bio
In August 2021, Fulham announced the signing of Rodrigo Muniz from Flamengo for an undisclosed fee.
The exciting young striker signed a five-year deal, with the Club holding an option to extend by a further year.
With his off-the-ball movement and ability to score all types of goals, Muniz gained admirers from a host of clubs across Europe, but chose Craven Cottage as the ideal location to continue his football journey.
He came through the youth system at Desportivo Brasil, but was snapped up by Flamengo and subsequently went on to help them enjoy one of the most prosperous periods in their history, as they won the top-flight in both 2019 and 2020.
Muniz had enjoyed a good 2021 campaign for Flamengo prior to his move to London, scoring three Série A goals having started the same number of matches, while also netting across two cup competitions.
In 2020, Muniz spent a month on loan at fellow top-flight side Coritiba, where he scored once in three starts.
With Aleksandar Mitrović in the form of his life, Muniz found opportunities hard to come by in his maiden campaign, starting just two league fixtures. He took his opportunities when they came, though, with his five goals meaning he was on target once every 98 minutes.
