The strong, aggresive defender signed a scholarship deal in the 19/20 season and has featured in a combination of left-back and centre-half roles.

After recovering from an injury set-back, Odutayo began featuring regularly for Steve Wigley's Under-18s and made 16 appearances during the 2021/21 season.

His impressive tackling, strength and ability to cross the ball saw him make a huge contribution for his team. Towards the end of the campaign, he made a further four appearances for our Under-23s.

Like many of the others from our successful Under-18s side, he also made the permanent step up to the Under-23s for the 2021/22 season. With Ziyad Larkeche featuring at left-back, Idris moved into the centre-back position, where he made an impresive 23 appearances. We conceded just 27 goals, the least in the division and the physical defender played a huge part in that achievement.

Idris made a handful of Academy appearances last season, but spent most of his time on loan at semi-pro club Maidenhead United, where he played 21 games.
