Background

Tom has been involved with the club’s Academy for over 5 years, namely working as an academy age group coach with the Under-15/16s and other Youth Development Phase age groups. In previous roles, Tom was the Subject Lead and Senior Lecturer for Football & Performance Analysis at St Marys University. He continues to work towards his PhD at Leeds Beckett focusing on effective football coaching.

The Role

Tom oversees the Academy insights department which focuses on combining multiple data streams across departments, to provide action focused insights to support the academies ongoing commitments towards player development. Tom continues to retain a coaching role assisting with the Under-21 age group.
